Slayers Ball

Slayers gang in ball outfits I've been wanting to get these designs down on paper for like a month. 

So about the drawing. It looks better than my usual drawings because I actually used references this time! lol



I wanted Zelgadis' outfit to be kind of like the Seyruun outfits for the royal guys (cus in my story Prince Phil's tailor made his outfit) so I totally made my own royal outfit by kind of combining Phil's, Alfred and Phil's brother's outfits with Prince Holland's ball outfit from Strays www.straysonline.com/comic/171… I was going to make decoration along the top of his shirt by the collar similar to Holland's but decided the green things were enough.



Gourry's outfit was made by the same tailor that made Zel's. I wanted it blue trimmed but I didn't want it to look too much like Alfred's, so I designed it to have the extra darker blue in the vest (the official royalty outfits only have one or two shades of white, gold trim and one accent color whereas I made gourry have two shades of accent)



Xelloss' outfit is kind of my own version of Nyt's ball outfit for her OC Yetl fav.me/d34plc4 I was temped to color his cuffs and boot tops but I thought it would make it look like he matched Zel and Gourry and I didn't want that at all cus Xel's outfit came from whatever mysterious place Mazoku get stuff ;;>_>

I couldn't resist so I did a Xelloss without his jacket on and drew a pattern on his vest. I hope the pattern isn't too busy. You can tell the filigree of the pattern is supposed to be gold stitching right? Shiny embroidery is hard >.< There's really no point to the straps on his shirt sleeves other than I really like that style I'm really not sure what the purpose is for them when they're on dress shirts that go under dress jackets in the real world... I think it may just be a European thing..but they look sexy!

I super loved how Ly-Xu has Xelloss' hair tied back in some of their drawings and wanted to do that too. It looks so slick and awesome! You can see what I'm talking about here ly-xu.deviantart.com/art/SLAYE… I also referenced Xel's pose from that pic just a bit.



I'm proud to say that Lina's outfit came completely out of my own head I changed it's design SO many times >.< She looks weird with her bangs tied up... I'm not terribly happy about her hair but I'm quite pleased with her outfit.



I made a second dress for Lina. I like the first dress I came up with but it wasn't quite the look I was going for. The second version fits what I wanted much more and her hair looks much more Lina-like. Also her eyes are better than that other pic.

The shoes for the back view are gray just so you can see the lines of the shoe



Sylphiel came out cute. Her dress is pretty simple but I think it suits her. I wasn't sure what color I should make the gloves but I settled on making them match the dress. She's supposed to be wearing a pair of simple green earrings too but her hair blocks the view.



Amelia's dress came out pretty cute I'm pretty happy with it. It suits her
