Oct 22-  she's all done! I'll post up final deviation pictures as soon as I can. I've got a busy schedule for today so it probably won't be until at least tomorrow.

Oct 19 - Almost done! Just need to put the shine on her eyes then glue all the pieces together! The glue/cement attaching the gemstones are drying right now so I'll do the other gluing tomorrow.

Oct 14- I got the cape sewn and stiffened with fabric stiffener. There's two layers of fabric so that the rough edges won't be seen so it was too thick to make it flow like the reference picture. But I still think it looks pretty cool, especially with those embroidered leaves. I printed out the actual cutie mark on Sheild's reference sheet and transferred it to the base using the old school method lol. So now I have marks so I can paint it correctly

Oct 13 - I got the wing armor made! Now to make notches in the armor where the gems will go, also make the cape then paint it all when it's all done there will be 13 pieces (this includes the cape, two cape clasps, acrylic rod and base - but not counting gems)

Oct 11- I got the wings made. I was asked to make them like princess Twilight's wings. Now just to put the armor on them!

Oct 5 - Got the front helmet piece done. I'll use my dremel to make the notches for the gems right before I paint. Now just need to sculpt the wings

Oct 1 - I got the side helmet pieces done. I was going to get the front helmet piece done before I posted up pictures again, but I have a doctor's appointment today in the city an hour away and i have a substitute teaching gig tomorrow. So I wanted to get up this update since i"m not entirely sure when I'll have something more worth putting up as an update.

Sept 29 - She just needs the front plates of her helmet, her wings and cape and then all the sculpting will be done. I'm really hoping to catch up and get her done soon. These past few weeks have made it really hard to get any sculpting done >_<  Her tail and hair out of her helmet are removable for painting.

Sept 1 - I put her body armor on and drilled holes for her wings and tail. I put the smallest metal holeless beads that I have on the armor as rivet. I think it'll look really neat once the paint is on her. I tried sculpting on the gold bands that are supposed to go up her legs but I think the best option is to just paint them on her because they'll need to be very slim.

Aug 31 - I put her hoof armor thingies on her I really need to catch up on all my sculpting. Being in such jaw pain this past week really screwed up my ability to do any work.

Aug 18 - I got her face made. She's smugly smirking. I think the shadows make her look a little more angry than she should, but her helmet is going to be covering a lot of her brow so it should even out and look more like i intend once that helmet is on her.



I wanted to have more done before I put her own WIP up but I figured I need to post a WIP of her own by now. I've been so busy with babysitting for my friend lately to help her out. I have to watch the kids again from 11am to midnight tomorrow.. I'll be so glad when school starts again O_o At least my friend does pay me for my time so that helps me out too.

Anyway, I know the legs are still a bit off but I'll be adding more clay to her front legs and back thighs and sanding smooth her back legs.
