Rose Sculpture 1

Rose for is finally done! She is 7 3/4 inches from farthest toe to fingertip and about 4 and a half inches high.

My appreciation for people who cut hair has doubled. It's so hard to do, especially with a tiny little head of hair. I had to ' Perm' her hair like 4 or 5 times because I'd do it up and wait for it to dry then check it and find out it didn't look like I wanted, so I'd do it over again. After I got the hair the shape I wanted I cut it. Unnatural, tapered hair is hard to make.

I know most of Rose's pictures have bangs that are parted but I made them like this [link] because you'd be able to see the mismatched color scalp if I did it the other way.

Speaking of that, she's supposed to be a bit darker pink, but because of the various problems I noted in my recent journal, I just got a can of spray paint and this color was the closest to work. She has an off-white undercoat and muzzle but it's hard to tell with her fur such a light pink.

The colors aren't perfect but I think she came out pretty good. ^_^ See more pics of this sculpture here [link]
